Not the best time to go out as the tide was approaching high and it looked like rain, but we had family for tea so I rigged 7.5 on the Xantos and it was just right for most of the 1 hr 47 mins I was out.I had a quick broad reach to the ferry river mouth then a 5 mile beat to the old windsurfing hut end to check the work to the new sea defences. Then I turned and had the best reach back, sailing very broad, parallel to the beach it would have been 5***** for that run alone but when I got back the wind dropped and the picked so I had a job to sheet in!!!! I then had a tea at my friends camper got cold decided against rigging a smaller sail so gave up for the day.A quick trip to Ipswich to pick up Auntie Diane,a stop off on the way back to buy a new Gill Bouyancy aid and then to the cliff top to watch Rob having a ball in the flat water of the river as the tide was very low.
